LEAD TEAM Opportunities


Volunteers are needed for LEAD TEAM. If you would like to sign up to help with one of the following opportunities, please contact Carl.

Friend Day (April 27)

  • Organize the Sunday morning event by developing a creative experience for our youth and the friends they bring.
  • Organize the breakfast, entertainment, games, etc.
  • Develop a creative accountable invite system for our youth to invite friends.

The "Unify" Mix Weekend (May 2-4)

  • Organize teams of leaders for each aspect of the weekend.
  • Work with lead teams from other churches to plan each specific activity.
  • Help organize host homes.
  • Organize the cookouts for the Saturday night event.

Senior Recognition (May 18)O

  • Plan the senior breakfast with Jane Gibbs.
  • Send out invitations to seniors and their families.
  • Organize the speaker and the morning program.
  • Designate someone to creat a video or another creative program to honor the graduates.

Missions Activities

  • Organize our "Acts of Kindness" nights.
  • Organize various mission projects throughout the year such as yard work, car washes, visiting senior homes, etc.

Youth Leader Care Team

  • Organize creative ways to provide encouragement to those who serve and teach your youth throughout the year.
  • Plan a big event for youth and parents to come, honor, and show appreciations for the time and energy your youth workers put in.

Fall Retreat (October 2008)

  • Plan and coordinate all the logistics of the trip.
  • Recruit helpers to load luggage on leaving day and unload upon our return.
  • Organize parents to make snacks.
  • Help with registration.

Christmas Progessive Dinner (December 2008)

  • Plan a progressive dinner to tell the Christmas story in parts.
  • One dinner will be for the middle school and one dinner for the high school. Each group will come together for a time of worship at the end of the evening.
  • Get host homes fo rthe various parts of the meals (appetizers, main course, dessert, "white elephant" gift exchange, etc.). We want creativity!
  • Get volunteers to help set up and clean up at each home.

Super Bowl Party (February 2009)

Because the group is too big to have one party, indicate whether you want to plan the middle school or high school party when you sign up.
  • Organize the middle school party. People are needed to plan games bring food, buy prizes for giveaways, etc.
  • Organize the high school party. People are needed to plan games bring food, buy prizes for giveaways, etc.

+55 Valentine Banquet (February 2009)

  • Organize the volunteers for set up, clean up, cooking staff, decorating staff, entertinment, games for the youth and the +55 members, etc.
  • Design the invitations for the +55.
  • Advertise the event.
