Sign Up Your Child for MusiCamp 2008

MusiCamp 2008 will take place August 4-8, from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. It is designed for children entering first grade through sixth grade. Most activities will be divided to accommodate this wide age range. During the week, campers will rehearse and prepare a musical entitled Praise Rocks to be presented on Wednesday, August 13, at 6:30 p.m.

The cost for MusiCamp 2008 is $35 per child/$30 for each additional family member. This fee includes a camp t-shirt, listening CD, transportation and recreation cost. Children are asked to bring a snack lunch.

Registration will continue throughout the summer up to July 28; however, please note that as of June 9, we will open registration to the public. Church members are stongly encouraged to register early and reserve your child's place in MusiCamp 2008. Enrollment is limisted to the first 50 campers who register.

Meetings This Week

  • The Intercessory Prayer Group meets every Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., in the library.
  • The Man in the Mirror Bible Study meets every Friday, at 6:30 a.m., in the fellowship hall.
  • The Margaret Marchman Baptist Women's Group will have it's monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m., at the Trinity House.
  • The Finance Committee will meet on Wednesday, May 14, 6:00 p.m. in the library.
  • Anyone who is interested in volunteering for Vacation Bible School (VBS) is invited to attend the Outrigger Island VBS Meeting on Thursday, May 15, at 4:30 p.m., in the Adult II Sunday School Classroom.
  • The Church Council will have its monthly meeting on Sunday, May 18, at 8:30 a.m., in the library
  • The Trinity Ladies in Christ will meet on Sunday, May 18, at 5:00 p.m., in the fellowship hall. This week the group will cover Lessons 9 and 10. 
  • Open Group in the Chapel will meet Sunday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m.
  • Deacons' Meeting has also been rescheduled to Sunday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m., in the ladies' parlor.
  • The +55 Luncheon will be held on Monday, May 19, at 11:45 a.m., in the fellowship hall.

Wednesday Night Program Recognition/Awards Night

On Wednesday, May 14, at 6:30 p.m., in the Sanctuary, all wednesday night programs (AWANA, GAs/RAs, children's choirs) will be reconized. The combined children's choirs will present the musical Cool in the Furnace.

Graduate Recognition

Graduate Recognition will be held on Sunday, May 18, during the morning worship service. High school graduates from Trinity are:

Sarah Jones is graduating from Georgia Southern with a Masters Degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology. Celesta Houed will also be graduating from college later this summer.

Graduates, we need a copy of your senior picture and seven to eight pictures of you growing up to use during the service. All pictures need to be turned in by Wednesday, May 14.

Get Out of School Party

All children, grades 1-5, are invited to attend the Get Out of School Party on Wednesday, May 21, at the Barber Farm. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 4:00 p.m. and will return around 7:00 p.m. There will be a HUGE slip-n-slide as well as swimming, so make sure you bring your swimsuit and towel. If you like to fish, then bring your fishing pole as well. We will have a 12 foot sub to share for supper. Parents, we need your help to chaperone. Please call Carl or Celina Barber to volunteer. We look forward to seeing you there!
